The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is Australia’s leading trade and investment agency, connecting Australian businesses to global opportunities. The design of their new workspace in Barangaroo by Capezio Copeland leverages the flexibility of the Avion modular range throughout the fit-out. The collection designed by Keith Melbourne is a soft architectural system of modular seating and table elements with a consistent upholstered wall enabling the range to adapt to a variety of functions within a workspace.

Louise Forsyth, Senior Designer at Capezio Copeland explains how the Avion range suited the project’s unique requirements. “The diversity in the range of pieces made it so easy for us to specify, being able to select from one family always helps in creating a cohesive project outcome. The soft curves of the range tied in with our overall design direction and the pieces really lend themselves to a collaborative workplace.”

Within the Austrade workspace, Avion Pods & Avion Shell Lounge offer a compact, private workspace, with an added feature in the Pods being integrated options for power and charging devices. Avion Meet with complementary Avion occasional tables provide a multitude of meeting spaces for Austrade employees and clients. As an added feature for flexibility and long-term planning, select Avion configurations were customised with castor wheels for mobility.

As one of Stylecraft’s collections designed and manufactured in Australia, the Avion collection provides the ideal interior for Austrade to align with its focus on the ongoing success of Australian businesses.
