Thinking Quietly Wins Red Dot

Thinking Quietly Wins Red Dot

The ThinkingQuietly Workstation is the winner of the 2018 Product Design Red Dot Award.

Recognising the successful combination of contemporary design with acoustic performance, the ThinkingQuietly Workstation by Thinking Works has recently been announced as the winner in the Product Design category of the 2018 Red Dot Awards. Judged by an esteemed panel of international experts, ThinkingQuietly was announced as the winner out of hundreds of entries from over 50 countries. The Red Dot Design Award dates back to 1955 and is internationally recognised within the design world as a mark of superior quality and high calibre design.

As part of the winning design process of ThinkingQuietly, acoustic engineers were consulted to ensure the advanced materials selected provided significant acoustic improvement in comparison to typical open plan style workstations. The result is a balanced acoustic environment, whilst also ensuring a sophisticated and unique design outcome suitable for the modern workplace. An optional canopy, as equally functional in reducing sound transmission as it is aesthetic, has emerged as a distinctive trademark of the striking design of the ThinkingQuietly workstation.

As winner of the prestigious award, the ThinkingQuietly workstation will appear in the Red Dot Design Yearbook and will be exhibited in the Red Dot Design Museum in Germany, the largest museum in the world for contemporary design. We would like to congratulate everyone at Thinking Works and the design team behind the ThinkingQuietly range.
