Salone del Mobile 2018: Part Three

Salone del Mobile 2018: Part Three

Stylecraft present our coverage of Salone del Mobile 2018. Part Three: Tacchini and Prostoria

The Stylecraft team on the ground in Milan spent another day absorbing the inspiring visuals of Salone del Mobile 2018. The much anticipated visit to Tacchini’s 2018 stand once again impressed and inspired. Croatian brand, Prostoria was next and their new releases proved to be a highlight of the day.

Continuing their philosophy of achieving beauty and functionality, Italian brand Tacchini released a series of new ranges suitable for both residential and commercial environments. Perhaps the most intriguing range, Julep designed by Jonas Wagell, a sofa collection characterised by a soft enveloping form with a feminine and romantic allure. The voluptuous sofa, armchair and ottoman were a stand out for 2018.

Additional releases include the Memory Lane armchair by Christophe Pillet, a single armchair with a slender metal structure and refined quilted padding, together with the re-edition of the Tacchini 831 lounge by Gianfranco Frattini, Lina.

Croatian brand Prostoria yet again presented a sleek, contemporary collection with appeal for both the home and contract use. The latest addition to their range, Yak designed by Laufer & Keichel was inspired by the Scandinavian tradition of the 50’s and 60’s, a visually light chair with an elegant combination of solid timber seat and backrest with a tubular metal frame. Also introduced to the collection this year is the Fade sofa bed by Numen/ForUse and the Strain lounge in tan leather.
