Product Estimator (VIC)

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Melbourne based Product team.

The Product Estimator is a key position within the company and the Product Team whilst providing support to the Purchasing Department. The main responsibility of the role is to ensure that product entries in the Navision ERP system are accurate and up to date to enable rapid response to customer enquiries via the sales team. The role includes liaising with external suppliers and manufacturers as well as internal staff members.Attention to detail is critical alongside a keen ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. An understanding of Stylecraft’s product ranges is elementary to the role to ensure product entries are accurate and all components are fully costed.

Primary Role and Responsibilities :

  • Creating Navision ERP entries for new and existing product ranges including detailed descriptions, pricing, lead times, volumes, freight charges, foreign currency and royalties
  • Creating Navision ERP entries for custom product requests ensuring they adhere to Stylecraft guidelines
  • Ensure product entries are complete with information relating to finishes within the finishes columns/fields
  • Ensure product entry requests from sales staff are administered within 24 hours
  • Liaise with local and overseas suppliers and manufacturers to obtain and confirm pricing as required
  • Discontinue products and products ranges within Navision as required
  • Maintain current price lists from local and overseas suppliers and manufacturers
  • Assist the Systems Estimator with product and custom entries as required
  • Attend Product and Marketing Department meetings and huddles as required
  • Other ad hoc tasks as requested

Required skills and experience:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience within MRP/ERP platform, Dynamics Navision preferred
  • Dedicated to learning and delivering excellent solutions
  • A positive and enthusiastic mindset to work and work colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
