Congratulations to Stylecraft brands Tacchini and Ritzwell for collecting an Archiproduct Design Award in the Furniture category for 2019! To award the winners, leading figures in the Design and Architecture industry globally, evaluated shortlisted products ultimately rewarding outstanding designs.
Tacchini’s Reversivel armchair, designed by Martin Eisler and reimagined by Tacchini during the last Salone del Mobile in Milan, features a transformative element. A design from 1955, the dynamic design of the Reversival chair enables it to be positioned in two formations, with the back element acting as a backrest or armrest.
The JK Easy Chair, designed by Jun Kamahara for Ritzwell, features graphic lines defined by a thin tubular frame in hairline stainless steel supporting a deep leather seat. The detail on the side is hand stitched on the side, taking the artisan two hours per arm. The appeal of the design lies in the encounter between contemporary design and the traditional and deep reflection on the passage of time present in Japanese culture.
