The new headquarters for Telethon Kids Institute, Western Australia’s leading paediatric health and research organisation, is housed within the Perth Children’s Hospital and QEII medical precinct in Nedlands. Situating the headquarters within close proximity to the new Perth Children’s Hospital aims to enhance research collaboration and the exchange of clinical knowledge within the WA medical community.

An innovative design by Woods Bagot features multiple break-out areas for employees and researchers to interact, collaborate and relax. An open area featuring Zoe lounges by Verzelloni, Bill floor lamps by Touching Space, alongside Catifa 46 timber leg chairs and Aava timber leg chairs by Arper, facilitates team discussions and creates an indoor social space.

Modular lounging configurations have been utilised in the design to create breakout areas in close proximity to traditional workstations and staff kitchen facilities. Prisma and Guell by Derlot Editions were chosen for their versatility and ability to inject colour into the fit out of this important part of WA’s health landscape.
