Design News | Milan 2010

Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2010 in Milan this month was again a bustling meca for the latest in design.
Here, Stylecraft is pleased to present the leading designs from our top European brands.
The 2010 fair saw a shift to releasing new collections with a classic design language. Tacchini, Italy, led this movement with two collections designed by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in the 1950s. These pieces have been updated to take advantage of new production techniques and materials and were unveiled at the fair for the first time.
TACCHINI, ITALY


Tacchini introduced the following new collections - Eddy Chair designed by Pearson Lloyd sits at the V-Table by Xavier Lust, Spin and Quartier Ottomans by Claesson Koivisto Rune, Babella Chair and Sancarlo Lounge and Armchair by the Castiglioni Brothers, Coot and Cage tables by Gordon Guillaumier and Dressed Lounge designed by Luca Nichetto.
STUA, SPAIN


Stua introduced a new creation - LaClasica Chair designed by Jesus Gasca - available end 2010. \
Existing collections also enjoyed updated finishes.
ARPER, ITALY


With their bold use of colour, the Arper offering was again a stand out feature at the fair. Existing collections Saari, Nuur and Catifa 53 have been given additional features and there is a brand new collection - Team, due to go into production late 2010.
VERZELLONI, ITALY


Verzelloni introduced Joe - an extention to the Zoe and Noe Lounge collections.
PARRI, ITALY


The Parri stand was an exceptional display for Spring.
